Candice Waller is the editor of the moved by Grace blog and the Founder of Candice Waller Ministries.

Although I am a certified minister, I like to think of myself as a girl who loves to talk and teach and write about Jesus and all the amazing things He has done, can do , and will do in the lives of His children. I am in love with two men… Jesus and my  high school sweetheart and husband of 22 years, Chris.  Together, we live in Oklahoma; have three children and two fur babies.  A few additional loves in my life are COFFEE, coffee mugs, planners, COFFEE, books, art, and my Jeep; although it took me a while to understand the whole ‘jeep wave’ thing. I think I’ve got the hang of it now. I guess you could say that I’m addicted to all of these things. The Lord and I are working on that… remember – I, too, am a work in progress.

My relationship with the LORD began only eleven short years ago, at the relatively young age of thirty-one.  I had been asked on numerous occasions to accompany a friend to church, and had answered ‘no’ to all of her invitations. One day, I noticed her countenance… the way she presented herself. The way she was so very patient with her children. The way she spoke softly, and with love in all areas of life. I asked her about this, and her reply was that she had a wonderful relationship with Jesus, and asked me again to attend church with her.  I agreed, thinking quietly to myself that if I go JUST THIS ONE TIME, that I could say that I had been, and didn’t need to go anymore.

I gave my life to the LORD that day… ‘Here I Am to Worship’ playing. The thickness of the presence of the Holy Spirit (something I didn’t even know at the time even how to explain) was all encompassing. THIS was a mighty good day!
I didn’t need to be asked to go after this… I WANTED to go!  I had a deep desire to learn His Word, and to live it out. I craved study. I wanted to know this Jesus so desperately. I wanted to rest in Him. To have communion with Him. It was at this point that the LORD put it on my heart to go ‘into ministry’.  Gifted with the desire and talent to write, and the oh-so-terrifying call to speak, I have purposed to live out what He has predestined for my life.
I am currently in women’s leadership at Faith Church in Tulsa, where I teach, and co-lead the nationally known PROPEL program designed by Christine Caine. I am a published freelance writer, mentor, and currently seeking credentialing through the Oklahoma School of Ministry.

+ what I believe

  • The Bible is the Holy and inspired Word of God and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training. ~2 Timothy 3:16

  • There is but ONE Living God- the Author and Perfecter- the Beginning and the End… revealed in three persons (the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit). And I believe my LORD to be omnipotent (all-powerful), omnipresent (everywhere), omniscient (all-knowing), immutable (unchanging), and eternal (everlasting).

  • Jesus was born of a virgin. ~Matthew 1:23

  • He was tempted in every way, yet remained without sin. ~Hebrews 4:15

  • Jesus died for the sins of all mankind. Salvation is found in no one else for there is no other name by which we are saved. ~Acts 4:12

  • The only way to receive salvation is through repentance of sins. ‘If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.’ ~1 John 1:9

  • Jesus rose from the grave, ascended to the Father, and remains at His right hand. ~Mark 16:6, 19

  • Jesus is the only way to the Father. He is the way and the truth and the life. ~John 14:6-7

  • Water baptism symbolizes the death and resurrection as you enter a new life. The infilling of the Holy Spirit provides power and is available to all believers. ~Acts 2:4

  • We all have different spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit. ~1 Corinthians 12:4

  • Each of us will give an account of ourselves to God. ~Romans 14:12

  • The Day of the Lord is quickly approaching. ~2 Peter 3

  • And we will be with the LORD forever. ~1 Thessalonians 4:17

  • As I patiently await His return, I will strive to live a holy and godly life- as I look forward to the day of God. ~2 Peter 11-12

I know

  • The Lord has a plan for my life. ~ Jeremiah 29:11

  • I’m not ‘good enough’… He knows this, and yet chose me. This alone makes me perfect for His will.

  • My gifting will be used to further God’s kingdom… for His glory alone.

  • My dreams have not always been His desires for my life. Slowly, but surely, that has now become the case. HIS DESIRES FOR MY LIFE ARE NOW MY DREAMS!

  • I will be obedient to His call.

  • No force of this world will hinder the Lord’s plan for me.

  • The Gospel of Jesus will be heard… from my mouth… through His voice.

  • Where one door is closed, another is opened.

  • His will for my life will be accomplished.

  • I am humbled by my King, His ways, and His love.

the vision

Oh, THE VISION…

The vision for this ministry is small in some instances (I’d be okay with reaching one person if that’s all the Lord desired of me); and huge in others (My desire to reach multitudes is great). I go into this expecting the LORD to move, but without putting any specific expectations or limits on Him, as far as what He is ready and willing to allow. I firmly believe all things work within His timing… and I wouldn’t want it any other way.

My desire is to see women (and men… don’t want to leave out my guys) grow in their relationship with Jesus. To have a humbled, servants heart; but to also be fierce warriors on behalf of the One who gave all for them. I want the Daughter’s of the Most High to understand their worth, and claim it. I want to see them rise up and lead those whom the Heavenly Father sees fit to put within their path.

I want my sisters in Christ to understand that, regardless of age, education, family background, or past sin, that having been saved by the Blood has redeemed them, and called them into deeper involvement and fellowship with the Lord. I want them to create a lifestyle in which they are intentional, submissive, willing to grow, and cause movement of the Spirit wherever the Lord places them in this life.
WOMEN…
WE ARE CHOSEN. TRANSFORMED. FREE.
Claim it as such, and let it be. In the Mighty, Powerful, Precious name of Jesus.
Amen and amen.

free gift

This is the most important gift you will ever receive. The Price has been paid. The Cost was outrageous… you could have never afforded it. This Gift will not come to you in a box, via mail, or through email. This Gift can be yours… if you want it. I already KNOW that you NEED IT!

This Gift I speak of is the Gift of Salvation. All you have to do is ask for it, and it’s yours. It’s that simple. You see, God sent His One and Only Son. To live on this earth. To be tempted, and yet remain without sin. Jesus knew His purpose. He knew that He would fulfill the plan of the Father. When the Time came, He carried that Cross. He made the trek to Calvary. His arms stretched wide, as He was placed for all to see. And when the hour came, He cried out, “It is finished!”

Regardless of where you are in your life, or what you’ve done, THIS gift of grace through salvation can be yours. We have all fallen short of the Glory of God, and we are all sinners. The beauty of Salvation is that we receive a new beginning. One that can only be given by Him who gave.

The LORD wants to meet you where you are… right now! In THIS moment! If you’re ready to make the most important decision of your life, please say the following prayer:

Lord, I come to you humbled and broken. I realize that I cannot live this life without you. I repent of my sins, and ask your forgiveness. I ask you to come into my life, transform me, and use me for your Glory. I love you, Lord, and thank you for your most Precious of Gifts… Jesus. And it is in His Mighty, Powerful, and Precious Name I pray. AMEN.

If you have made the decision to ask Him into your life today, please take a look at my what’s next section and also please contact me below. I would love to celebrate your entry into His Kingdom! And if you are in need of a Bible, please include your name and address with your message, and I will make certain you receive one!

‘Heaven rejoices more over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.’ ~Luke 15:7

what’s next?

Congratulations friend, on your decision to follow after Jesus. I want to encourage you to…

  1. Read your Bible daily.

Some scripture is better than no scripture!
  2. Pray often.

Fellowship with the Lord is His greatest desire. He wants to know you… and you, Him.
  3. Find a church.

…that teaches Biblical principles, and learn how to apply these to your life. There’s no fellowship like Christian fellowship! You need people around you who can lift you up, pray with you, and encourage you in your Walk.
